Michael Ford, Jr.
Michael E. Ford Jr. has served as a professional firefighter and Emergency Medical Technician for 23 years. He has earned multiple promotions, ascending to the rank of Lieutenant Colonel and the position of Assistant Chief with the Louisville Fire Department managing the department’s administration, budget, technology, facilities and discipline.
Assistant Chief Ford has served his community for over 25 years, founding and directing numerous local programs and organizations. Including, the nationally recognized youth education program called C.A.N. (Children Against Negativity). This program has provided mentoring, reading, mathematics, and character education to over 2000 promising local youths. Michael also serves as Founder and Executive Director of Master Builders Academy, a non-profit organization committed to inspiring communities to achieve intellectual and economic renaissance through personal development and entrepreneurial instruction.
Michael E. Ford Jr. has also developed programs that provide food, clothing, and school supplies to hundreds of children living in the housing projects in Louisville. Michael’s service reaches across the globe into Kenya East Africa, where he directs the school leadership, budget and fundraising for three St. Shelia Joy Academy elementary and middle schools.
Assistant Chief Ford is an international speaker exceling in the subjects of organizational leadership, people and community building, and youth empowerment.
Michael E. Ford Jr. has been married to Andrea Ford, his high school sweetheart, for 21 years. They have five excellent children; Michael III, Sarah, Josiah, Judah, and Matthew.
